Wedding Venue Hire
Everybody loves a good wedding and Veritable Venue Management go that extra step to make sure that your special day goes exactly how you want it. McGovern Park is a fantastic venue for a wedding reception, with three options to choose from; the Emerald rooms, Sports Bar or hire the Outdoor grass area and pop up a marquee!
You can hire one or both of the Emerald rooms depending on the size of your wedding; the Emerald Hall seats 200 (300 standing) and has a large balcony overlooking the playing fields, the Emerald Lounge is more intimate and seats 100 (200 standing). For bigger events we can remove the partition wall to create one big room for up to 300 seated (500 standing. We also have staging that can be used for a band or DJ. Our rates are extremely reasonable because unlike some venues we don’t charge anything extra when we hear the word wedding – we just make sure the bar is well stocked!
All faiths, humanist and same sex wedding receptions are welcome to come and celebrate with us. Our dedicated event manager will help you to plan your special occasion down to the finest details. We have a little black book of trusted suppliers whom we can recommend for flower arrangements, photography, decorations, entertainment etc or you are equally welcome to bring your own.*

Wedding Venue Catering
We have excellent onsite catering and have a variety of menus from you to choose from. We can do formal seated silver service, hot or cold buffet, BBQ, bowl food, canapes or something bespoke just for you if you have something else you would prefer. We are happy to arrange a tasting meeting so you can make sure that what you order is exactly as you would like it.
Our well stocked bars are licensed until midnight Sunday – Thursday and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays or we can apply for an extension if you would like us to stay open later. If there is a special tipple that you would like us to stock just ask or you can bring your own.**
